How to make artichoke chips?

Fried artichoke chips recipe with olive oil

These are the steps to follow:

1. Cut and peel the artichokes

The number of artichokes you use will depend on how many people you go to cook for. The usual thing is to use two artichokes. The first step is to cut the stem and peel them, removing a couple of layers from the outer leaves, at least the hardest.

Remember to remove the top of the artichokes, and cut it into thin slices.

2. Heat the oil

3. Fry the artichokes

Make sure they are crisp and, once done, remove them from the pan. Help yourself from a skimmer and place them on a plate. Remember to drain the oil with the help of kitchen paper!!

4. To serve!

As advice, don’t take too long to serve the fried artichoke chips. It is It is preferable that you do it immediately so that they do not get soft if they cool.

Another option, also delicious, is the battered chips. Of course, before frying them you will also need to pass them through flour.

Baked artichoke chips

The time of the diets arrives and, although this dish is the most healthy, You may prefer a recipe for artichoke chips that contains less fat and is somewhat less caloric..

If you don’t know how to roast artichoke chips in the oven, don’t worry. It’s almost as simple as doing it to the pan, it will only take a little more time. These are the steps:

  1. First of all, Preheat the oven to 220º approximately.
  2. As in the previous case, Peel the artichokes and cut the stem, removing the outer leaves and cutting the tip. To make them quick in the oven, cut the artichokes into thinner slices.

  4. Let them cook in the oven for at least 20 minutes. Remember to cover the tray with special oven paper.
  5. Once roasted, the artichoke chips will have Crispy appearance and golden color. Add salt and spices to taste and ready to serve!

Artichoke chips with foie
